About Us
Duende Dorado was born between Colombia and the Netherlands, inspired by the work of Colombian coffee growers and by the story held in every bean. We want to share origin coffees with quality, care, and traceability, connecting those who grow them with those who enjoy them.
Our name comes from a legend from Colombia’s coffee region: the golden bean goblin, a small guardian who protects the fruit of the coffee tree and only appears to those who truly recognise its value. That idea guides our brand: to care for every bean, honour its origin, and bring coffees with story, identity, and soul into Dutch homes.
The Person Behind Duende Dorado
I am Colombian and currently live in the Netherlands. My journey in coffee began in 2021, when I started working as a barista and discovered everything that exists behind each cup: the hard work of coffee growers, the care behind the harvest, and the richness of flavor that each variety can offer.
Colombia is one of the largest coffee producers in the world, and its coffee culture continues to grow thanks to the work of people who, generation after generation, improve their processes and raise the quality of what they produce. Every time I visit my country, I see that love for coffee up close: families, neighbours, and friends working with dedication so their coffee can be recognised across Colombia and, why not, around the world.
From that admiration came my dream: to bring coffee directly from the grower, without intermediaries, and share with more people the value, story, and origin of every bean.
